Summary: Manages the installation, operation, and maintenance of Audio Visual and Digital Service systems, and Audio Visual staff.


Essential Job Functions:

  1. Installs, operates, and maintains all AV systems.
  2. Negotiates contracts with service and equipment providers.
  3. Works with the Director of IT to establish long-term strategy for the AV staff.
  4. Maintains the financial contracts and hardware of the system.
  5. Conducts pre-event tests (Check and verify equipment).
  6. Monitors audio and video qualities throughout events.
  7. Devises solutions for solving complex customer problems.
  8. Reviews riders to ensure we can deliver and determine costs to comply.
  9. Setup/Tear down for onsite and offsite activities.
  10. Manages sub-contractors and other third-party resources.
  11. Maintains AV network throughout the property.
  12. Maintains LCD, DLP, LED displays throughout the entire property.
  13. Delivers audio/video throughout the entire property in a flexible and dynamic manner.
  14. Supports user requirements for audio/video delivery.
  15. Conducts Site Certification surveys.
  16. Manages and maintains AV equipment and systems inventory.
  17. Performs preventive and corrective maintenance on AV equipment and systems.
  18. Creates system design, procurement lists, and price structures for Client budget planning.
  19. Reviews engineering drawings of projects and proposals.
  20. Responsible for the survey, design, installation, and testing of hardware and software system elements.
  21. Responsible for research and development of emerging technologies and applications in the AV industry.
  22. Secures system data via backup operations.
  23. Troubleshoots complex system problems and provides high-level support to users.
  24. Utilizes the incident reporting system as designed for problem reporting and change management accurately documents instances of hardware failure, repair, installation, and removal.
  25. Follows and enforces all departmental standards, security, run instructions, backup, recovery, and shift turnover procedures.
  26. Supervises and develops technical skills of AV Technicians.
  27. Budget planning for the AV staff.
  28. Directly responsible for managing all scheduling of AV staff for all events and activities.
  29. Supports Marketing to determine the most cost-effective way to disseminate information throughout the Casino.
  30. Procures and coordinates maintenance, service, and security for all AV assets.
  31. Ensures proper safety procedures are followed by all staff and contractors.
  32. Establishes processes that foster teamwork and consistently work to improve relationships with other areas.
  33. Develops and executes training plans and checklists for direct reports designed to increase their capabilities through career planning, technical training, and increased responsibility and accountability.
  34. Manages the monitoring and performance of all property-based AV Systems, executing appropriate escalation and corrective actions for all hardware, software, and service problems in accordance with pre-defined service agreements.
  35. Develops and administers all security procedures and operational controls for the physical and logical environment of the Casino in accordance with industry standards, Internal Audit, and regulatory controls.
  36. Participates in the formulation of AV plans, technical strategies, and budget plans as they relate to the property.
  37. Facilitates and leads efforts to manage the life cycle of property AV assets, ensuring the appropriate technology is utilized, available resources are reused, and standards are implemented.
  38. Informs the Director of IT of end user or guest needs which may require special accommodations.
  39. Maintains a safe, clean, and comfortable environment at all times.
  40. Performs all job duties in the safest possible manner, and immediately notifies the supervisor and completes an accident report if a personal accident does occur.
  41. Presents a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance at all times.
  42. Maintains constant awareness of services, promotions, and events offered at the facility and informs guests and other staff members.
  43. Effectively explains supporting technology to end users.
  44. Projects a positive, helpful image/attitude.
  45. Reports for work on time and shows flexibility to work late hours, and/or changing hours or days off.
  46. Coordinates multiple concurrent requests and communicates priorities clearly.
  47. Performs other duties as requested or assigned.

Qualifications:

  1. Must be 18 years of age or older.
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, five or more years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  3. 7 or more years in EVENT related activities with 2 or more years of supervisory experience.
  4. Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications, Microsoft Desktop Operating Systems, Microsoft Server Operating System, Data Backup Utilities, Helpdesk Software.
  5. Minimum 5 years of experience with digital and analog video production, editing, and broadcasting technologies, including installing, operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  6. Demonstrated knowledge of state-of-the-art professional analog and digital audio/visual equipment and broadcasting technologies as normally acquired through completion of college/technical school or relevant job experience.
  7. Proven familiarity with master control and studio operations.
  8. Professional level of filming and editing experience.
  9. Working knowledge of VMware, Cisco/Avaya Phone Systems, PC Hardware, and A-Plus, MCSE or CAN certification a plus.
  10. Knowledge of Crestron or similar AV control systems.
  11. Knowledge of Prescriptive or similar audio control systems.
  12. Proven business, systems, and project management skills.
  13. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  14. Coordinate concurrent conflicting priorities.
  15. Must be able to prioritize, direct, and monitor multiple tasks and assignments.
  16. Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.
  17. Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
  18. Excellent interpersonal skills; the ability to interact effectively with people of diverse professional backgrounds.
  19. Team-oriented work style, with a pro-active, open-minded, and flexible approach.
  20. High level of professional integrity and discretion.
  21. Ability to function effectively in a demanding, fast-paced, and constantly changing work environment.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  1. Sitting for extended periods of time.
  2. Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, power tools, and to handle other computer components.
  3. Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals of up to 50 lbs.
  4. Must be willing and able to travel between training locations.
  5. Ability to work in a noisy and smoke-filled environment.
