ABOUT DYNAMIC DIES


Founded in 1971, we are one of the largest manufacturers of tooling for the corrugated box industry. We began as a small business in a rented garage and have expanded to a multi-state operation consisting of four manufacturing facilities located in Toledo, Ohio, Pittsburgh, PA, Indianapolis, IN, and Middletown, Ohio. Our state-of-the-art graphics operation is centralized at our Toledo manufacturing facility which is also home to our corporate offices. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A PRODUCTION ARTIST


Boxes, packages, and displays are everywhere. Imagine seeing something in the store that you helped produce. As a Production Artist, that's what you do--handling artwork for the items you see and use every day.


In this Production Artist position, you play a key role in creating the primary product that is sold to our customers. You are the first step in our process and the first to ensure it's in perfect condition and lives up to the customer's expectations.


You will be responsible for taking customer art and editing it to make it press friendly. You will make adjustments as needed to font/copy to meet press minimums. In addition, artwork may need to be adjusted to meet press specs for bleeds and traps. You may need to recreate logos, layouts, barcodes, and QR codes. You will work primarily in Adobe Illustrator with Esko plug-ins. Adobe Photoshop will be used for image editing. Every job we do is custom. You'll learn new things and see a variety of customers. There's great satisfaction in seeing your hard work brought to life!


QUALIFICATIONS FOR PRODUCTION ARTIST


  • Related college degree or 4 years equivalent experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Knowledge and/or experience in Esko preferred
  • Experience in workflow software such as Esko preferred
  • Ability to apply basic math skills

WORK SCHEDULE FOR PRODUCTION ARTIST


This position will work 1st shift. The shift hours are typically 8am to 4pm with an 8-hour shift.
