Description
With preliminary direction from a licensed architect, assist in programming/strategic planning and all phases of large scale projects, including international multistory mixed use, high rise residential, corporate/commercial, retail, entertainment, aviation, transportation, education, healthcare, science & technology, and master planning projects, including new construction, renovation, tenant improvement, parking garage, and unit plans; set up meetings with client representatives for presentations and workshops, analysis of goals and needs, develop programmed space spreadsheets, narrative summaries, room data sheets, adjacency diagrams, graphic content, and prepare final Developed Project Program document; assist in responding to Requests for Qualifications (RFQ’s), Requests for Proposals (RFP’s) and design competitions; prepare client and public presentations, workshops and meetings by using 2D/3D CAD, building information modeling programs (including Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD, Sketchup, 3D Studio Max, VRay, Lumion, and Enscape), and applying analysis and computer skills to develop 3D building computer models and images, and presentation images; develop design documents for all design phases, schematic design through construction documents including documenting architectural plans, elevations, and details in imperial or metric standards for jurisdictional agency corrections using 2D/3D modeling software, mainly Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, as well as other related BIM, 2D and 3D Modeling software; incorporate LEED sustainable design principles and strategies into projects, participate in LEED documentation and commissioning process, prepare 3D energy models using Ecotect to evaluate daily sun exposure, analyze heatloads, and maximize energy savings, and prepare Title 24 compliance reports; assist in managing and coordination of project consultant agreements, project budgets, and construction budgets with clients and contractors involved; assist in identifying and quantifying tasks outside the scope of the Owner-Architect agreement for negotiation of additional services; collaborate on concept alternatives, studies and development requiring 3D digital massing, floor plans, space plans, building elevations, sections and perspectives; participate in meetings with clients, consultants, contractors, and public agencies on a given project and coordinate for client and agency review and approval; coordinate and gather data on provided site survey of existing conditions and take as built measurements; produce site analysis studies with site photography, code research, base drawings, and diagrams; coordinate conceptual design drawings with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection (MEP/FP), civil, structural, lighting, A/V, telecom, graphics, interiors and landscape consultants to incorporate building systems into architectural designs to produce construction documentation and secure client and regulatory approval; make corrections as indicated by Project Architect and Design Director to in-progress sets of design development and construction documents; analyze sketches, photographs, notes, and other input material to determine best approaches for completion of drawings to solve technical issues of design in relation to sites, buildings and client needs; build physical models using digital fabrication software, 3D printers, and laser cutter for design development and presentations; set up the context model environment and settings for VR architectural visualization for advanced design presentation options for the client(s), as well as to use as in house design reviews; design exterior envelope as well as interior finishing requiring enlarged plans, elevations, sections, details and axonometric drawings; provide material and product research and analysis appropriate for projects requirements and client’s satisfaction; research and draft details and schedules specifically designed for a given project in preparations for construction.
Requirements
