500° is looking a Photographer to join our advertising team in our growing Miami, FL space. As the Photographer, you are responsible for capturing high-quality images that meet creative and client specifications across various mediums, including print, digital, and social media platforms.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working within a fast-paced, collaborative environment, while bringing creativity and technical expertise to their work. You are confident in your ability to execute complex visual concepts from pre-production through to final delivery. Within this collaborative environment, the Photographer will work closely with creative teams, producers, stylists, and clients to ensure that every image aligns with the overall vision while adhering to the project’s timeline and budget.

What You'll Do:

  • Capture compelling, high-quality images that meet project briefs and client expectations
  • Work closely with the creative director, art director, and production teams to understand the vision and bring creative concepts to life
  • Develop innovative solutions to visually represent concepts and ideas in a way that engages the target audience and fits the brand’s identity
  • Plan and organize photo shoots in both studio and on-location settings, including lighting setups, camera selection, props, and talent coordination.
  • Collaborate with the studio manager and producers to ensure that all required resources are available and properly set up for each shoot.
  • Ensure proper coordination of studio functions, such as space layout, crew management, and equipment readiness for seamless shoot execution.
  • Provide guidance to assistants or junior photographers ensuring they adhere to the creative vision and technical standards.
  • Operate and maintain high-end camera equipment, lenses, and lighting tools, ensuring all technical aspects of the shoot meet the highest quality standards.
  • Manage the post-production process, including working with editing teams to ensure images are processed, color-corrected, and retouched to meet client specifications.
  • Use Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, and CaptureOne to finalize images, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the entire editing process.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues with equipment and software to minimize delays during shoots and post-production.
  • Act as a point of contact for clients during photoshoots, ensuring that their expectations and feedback are incorporated into the creative process.
  • Manage and coordinate with external vendors, including stylists, makeup artists, and location scouts, ensuring their work aligns with the creative direction.
  • Assist with organizing and managing the photography workflow, including maintaining files and assets in an organized manner.
  • Ensure all required documentation for shoots (contracts, talent releases, location permits, etc.) is completed and filed in accordance with legal and company standards.
  • Maintain a proper inventory of photography equipment and ensure that everything is in working order and ready for use.
  • Coordinate post-shoot logistics, including ensuring all images are delivered on time to clients and relevant stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with producers to schedule shoots, ensuring all logistics (talent, location, props, etc.) are confirmed and properly organized.
  • Ensure that all creative materials, including shot lists, style guides, and reference images, are reviewed and understood before each shoot.

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of commercial photography experience, preferably in advertising/marketing
  • Expert in camera equipment, lighting, and photography techniques (studio & on-location)
  • Proficient with photography software (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, CaptureOne)
  • Strong creative vision, able to execute complex concepts and collaborate with teams and clients
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Portfolio showcasing work in product, lifestyle, fashion, and advertising photography
  • Degree in Photography or Visual Arts preferred
  • Flexibility for evening/weekend shoots and travel as needed
  • Knowledge of legal regulations and contracts in photography production
  • Familiarity with broadcast and digital platform standards and specifications
  • Experience in food-based industries desired but not required.
  • Experience shooting b-roll/motion video desired but not required.
