Vice President (Head) of Public Relations

Our client is a fast-growing national healthcare group, with a highly innovative approach that has gained attention over the years. As they continue to acquire additional business and scale operations nationwide, they are looking for a well-connected Public Relations Leader with a proven track record securing articles in the elite business press, such as Forbes, Fortune, Businessweek, and Bloomberg, to elevate their presence and amplify their success stories in the business and investor communities.

The Vice President of PR will report to the group Chief Marketing Officer and lead a local team while managing external communications agencies.

The role is based in the Fort Lauderdale head office. Relocation will be provided for the selected candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive public relations strategies to enhance the company's brand awareness and reputation within the business investment community and related stakeholders.
  • Oversee the creation and dissemination of press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials that highlight our clients’ programs and achievements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of public relations efforts with organizational goals and initiatives.
  • Research and manage invitations for clinic Grand Openings to invite local press and school and government dignitaries. Secure local news coverage of ribbon cuttings.
  • Monitor media coverage and public perception of our client, providing analysis and recommendations for improvement.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, influencers, and community leaders to promote the company’s services and advocacy efforts.
  • Develop plans for crisis communications and strategies to mitigate potential reputational risks.
  • Organize and participate in events, conferences, and workshops to represent our client and engage with the local community.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of public relations campaigns and adjust strategies as necessary to meet objectives.
  • Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and developments in advocacy to inform PR strategies.
  • Monitor and manage online reputation management.

Professional Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in public relations, Finance, Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in public relations or communications, with proven expertise securing placement in top-tier business publications.
  • Must be conversant in Business/Finance PR to be able to appropriately sell our hypergrowth story to top business publications.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful public relations campaigns that drive brand recognition and stakeholder engagement.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences.
  • Strong understanding of the media landscape and experience in building relationships with key media contacts.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in social media strategies and digital communication strategies.
