About The Role

PEI has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Conference Producer to join our growing US based events team.

The successful candidate will be tasked with running a portfolio of conferences taking place primarily in the North America region. We expect our newest team member to grow and develop the portfolio conferences in conjunction with management and production team. The ideal

Senior Conference Producer will be expected to make a significant contribution to the growth of the global conferences business at this critical time in PEI's conferences development.

This position will hold P&L responsibility and have full ownership and responsibility for delivering US event portfolios.

The senior conference producer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Driving the strategic direction of a multi-million dollar portfolio of three US based events.
  • Overseeing and taking full responsibility for the P&L accounts for each event within the portfolio.
  • Working alongside each program's editorial champion to ensure alignment between their editorial expertise and our programming.
  • Researching and write compelling program agendas and ensure PEI's data is being showcased where applicable.
  • Recruiting high level industry speakers to speak at these events
  • Recording speaker outreach and progress in appropriate manner (Excel and eventually in CRM).
  • Working closely with Business Development to provide market intelligence, leads and other useful information on all events within the portfolio to help achieve agreed targets for each event.
  • Building strong relationships sponsor speakers across US private equity fund markets.
  • Managing the delivery of the portfolio by working closely with the logistics team.
  • Developing the audience for the events alongside our dedicated in-house marketing teams.
  • Advising our in-house delegate sales team on the portfolio of events and providing unique selling points for the programs.
  • Liaising with Network manager and help set membership strategy. Assist where needed with outreach and virtual events with weekly touchpoints across the membership product.
  • Facilitating research and validating new event ideas to grow and develop the portfolio further.
  • Making a significant contribution to the overall growth of the global conferences business including working with your AD to identify and vet new opportunities in your specific market to assist in launching new events that grow and develop your portfolio further.
  • Some US based travel will be a requirement of the job


About You

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial conference production or commercial experience in another field
  • A minimum of three years speaker recruitment experience
  • Experience working within financial or private equity conferences role is desirable but not essential
  • Experience working within a senior level finance professionals is desirable but not essential
