As the first marketing hire, you will have a crucial role in crafting our product narrative and establishing the company's position in the cybersecurity landscape for years to come. You will be the architect of our go-to-market strategy, shaping compelling narratives, driving impactful product launches, and building essential marketing processes from scratch. We're looking for a candidate who can seamlessly blend strategic foresight with actionable execution. Your responsibilities will include managing key processes, leading successful campaigns, coordinating events, and establishing a scalable framework for our growth.
The perfect candidate thrives in early-stage environments, understands the nuances of security products, and can articulate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling customer value propositions.
Location Requirements:
Please note, this is an early-stage startup based in downtown San Francisco. Applicants must be able to work on-site 3 days a week, as the company has a small team of under 15 individuals. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in product marketing. Successful collaboration with sales teams in a B2B environment. Strong preference for candidates with a background in cybersecurity. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal. Self-starter mentality with a proactive approach to taking ownership and achieving results. Experience in startup environments is essential. Key Responsibilities Create a variety of essential materials including enablement content, thought leadership resources, website messaging, pitch decks, white papers, case studies, competitive analyses, sales enablement tools, and product demos. Lead the strategy and execution of product launches. Develop persuasive messaging and positioning that underscores our unique value propositions and compelling benefits for audiences such as CISOs, SOCs, and Security Awareness Teams. Stay ahead of market trends and competitive movements to enrich our product roadmap and enhance Greylock's market standing. Manage our Customer Advisory Board activities, including planning and coordinating events and engagement opportunities.
