Job Description
The Producer/Studio Manager at 500°ree; is responsible for managing all aspects of video, photography, and audio production projects from concept through to final delivery, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the studio. The Producer/Studio Manager will join our evolving team in our Miami, FL studio space.
The ideal candidate has experience scoping, defining, scheduling, budgeting, and executing projects while also ensuring that the studio functions efficiently and effectively. The Producer/Studio Manager collaborates with creative teams, clients, vendors, and internal departments to guarantee high-quality work, on-time delivery, and adherence to budget. In this role, you will combine creative leadership with studio logistics, resource management, and operational oversight.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and supervise the entire production process for video, photography, and audio projects, from pre-production to post-production, ensuring smooth execution.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and timelines, ensuring milestones are met and content is delivered on time and within budget.
- Oversee vendor selection, negotiations, contracts, and maintain strong relationships while controlling production costs.
- Handle location scouting, talent acquisition, and logistics for props, wardrobe, and set requirements in pre-production.
- Manage on-site production during shoots, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to client and production requirements.
- Ensure compliance with legal, brand, and safety regulations, including contracts, location agreements, and talent management.
- Coordinate communication among clients, vendors, creative teams, and internal departments for seamless execution.
- Oversee daily studio operations, including resource management, equipment, and studio bookings for efficient space usage.
- Supervise set-up for photo/video shoots, ensuring all equipment, crew, and space are well-coordinated.
- Maintain studio inventory and equipment, ensuring everything is ready for use and properly stored.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed on set, and troubleshoot production and studio challenges.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining strong relationships and providing regular project updates.
- Negotiate with external vendors to ensure their contributions meet project standards and manage financial aspects like invoicing and quotes.
- Oversee post-production logistics and ensure content meets client expectations for delivery.
- Archive all project documentation for future reference and manage post-production reconciliation with the finance team.
What You'll Need:
- 5+ years of experience in video, photography, or audio production, with 2+ years in studio management/operations.
- Strong knowledge of creative production and studio management (budgeting, scheduling, vendor management, resource allocation).
- Experience with technical equipment maintenance (cameras, lighting, sound, editing software).
- Proficiency in industry-standard software (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Workamajig, CaptureOne).
- Proven ability to manage complex production timelines while maintaining high creative and technical standards.
- Strong leadership skills; able to motivate and mentor production assistants and junior talent.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work under pressure and manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving skills in both creative and operational areas.
- Knowledge of legal regulations/contracts related to talent, locations, and production processes.
- Familiar with broadcast and digital platform production standards.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience.
- Willing to travel and work evenings/weekends for shoots or studio sessions.
