Principal Proposal Writer (Medicaid RFP) - REMOTE at Molina Healthcare in Caldwell, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Description Job Summary The Principal Proposal Writer is responsible for directly supporting the development of compelling content and sections of proposals for government sponsored managed care programs or health care related areas, to produce a fully compliant and responsive winning proposal. Supports recovery writing and is responsible for preparing the executive summary for review by senior leadership. May serve as owner of RFx section(s). Ensures high engagement and collaboration across the writing team, proposal team and subject matter experts (SMEs). Conducts peer review and coaching for junior and senior writers. Executes tasks independently and reliably, with ability to interpret elements, principles, and relationships to achieve our business goals to win, expand and retain business. Ideal candidates would have experience writing content in areas such as Clinical/Care Management, Provider Network, Quality and/or Behavioral Health within a healthcare/managed care/government regulated environment. Job Duties - Demonstrate and maintain knowledge of company and process to create proposal responses that accurately represent capabilities - As the proposal writing subject matter expert, leads the development of responses and/or sections for the more technical or complex proposals. This may include providing oversight of internal and external writers - Act as a Section Lead/Book Boss: Responsible for a section or multiple questions within an RFP/RFI to develop cohesive response(s), performing independent research, while working with editing, graphics, data and writing resources - Support Director, Proposal Writing (Writing Director) on opportunity, start-up activities, assignment, draft development; remove barriers, work with individual writers as needed, monitor and escalate issues and 'red flags' - Responsible for the development and completion of Executive Summary - Assist in developing strategic proposal win themes and discriminators and incorporating into executive summaries and other response sections - Support executive review and recovery; act as 'recovery writer' - Support recovery writing when a writer has been removed from an opportunity - Superior communication skills with the ability to coach, mentor and be diplomatic - Drive for newer, better, and more efficient ways of completing each RFx, while seeking opportunities to add value to each RFx - Manages and contributes to the development and maintenance of dep To view full details and how to apply, please login or create a Job Seeker account
