Job Summary/Objective:
The Project Manager of Content is responsible for overseeing the development, publication, delivery, and storage of instructional and participant materials. This role involves collaboration with executive leadership, clients, and various departments to maintain and produce course material, incorporate training requirements, document development projects, and support instructors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) in content development. The ideal candidate will be strategic, creative, detail-oriented, and collaborative, capable of managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.

Technical Responsibilities:
- Assess and optimize department structure for efficiency.
- Establish workflows for content development and manage department training programs.
- Create and maintain a style guide, ensuring adherence across the team.
- Provide guidelines on publication matters, including copyright and intellectual property.
- Support business development by evaluating new opportunities.
- Engage stakeholders to define course objectives and conduct market research as needed.
- Recommend content improvements and manage writers, editors, and contributors.
- Write course outlines and summaries, and lead large development projects.
- Ensure content quality and alignment with style guides.
- Manage content production, editing, formatting, and distribution.
- Research and maintain instructional content consistent with adult learning principles.
- Lead course customization projects and stay informed on industry knowledge.
- Manage content storage standards and version control.
- Manage a small team to ensure departmental duties are performed to standard.
- Oversee workflow, ensure collaboration, and provide performance evaluations.
- Support employee growth and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Recruit, interview, hire, and train new staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.
- Experience in technical writing, ISD, and project management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with style guides and content management practices.
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (English, Communication, Editing, etc.).
- Recommended collegiate-level courses in scientific or technical writing.
- At least five years in project management, ISD, government contracting, copy editing, and technical writing.
- Trusted Agent certification may be required, involving a background check and U.S. citizenship certification.
