CAD Designer Job at Frontmatec in Kansas City

The CAD Designer supports the sales team in developing conceptual CAD drawings for robotics and automation projects in the pork and beef slaughter, cutting and deboning sector.

Responsibilities

• Support the sales team with preliminary layouts, 3D models and materials needed to present concepts to customers
• Work closely with sales team, customers and the layout department to ensure proper applications are being utilized. Including drawing blocks, standard solutions, lines and equipment capacities and videos
• Perform 3D scans of clients plants as needed
• Assist layout department with more detailed layouts, as needed

Qualifications

• Master Autocad (2D) and Inventor (3D)
• Master reading 2D and 3D plans
• Master the office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, D365)
• Communicate effectively and proactively.
• Accomplish tasks often on fixed and tight deadlines for multiple and often simultaneous projects.

Desired knowledge & skills Training & Experience

• Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months of related experience and/or training
• Demonstrated logical problem-solving skills, including conceptual and analytical
• Some technical training related to mechanical or industrial engineering is a plus
• Meat industry experience preferred but not required
