Job Overview
The Marketing Assistant provides key support for all marketing department activities, including digital projects, print/digital communications, proposals, events, and promotional campaigns, while playing a pivotal role in driving the organization’s marketing and branding efforts and managing the proposal development process.The Marketing Assistant works daily and reports directly to the Director of Business Development. This role will be detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow directions, but also work independently with a strong focus on production. In this hands-on position, the Marketing Assistant will gain useful tactical tools and marketing experience and should have a desire to learn and take ownership of assigned tasks.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop digital content for the website, social media channels, and email marketing campaigns.
- Draft and schedule posts for social media platforms and the company website.
- Update project photos, descriptions, and personnel resumes, and communicate with engineering and surveying project managers regarding project updates.
- Order promotional items and manage the marketing inventory.
- Attend off-site visits with other departments as necessary – career fairs, Engineering events, Surveying events, and/or company-sponsored events
- Collaborate with senior management and the Marketing Department to strategize, create, and execute marketing campaigns that enhance brand visibility and drive business growth.
- Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and digital platforms, including the company’s website, social media accounts, and presentations.
- Assist in producing high-quality content for various marketing materials, including proposals, qualification packages, business cards, brochures, and newsletters.
- Maintain and update the library of marketing collateral, including project photos, graphics, and promotional videos.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
- 1 to 3 years of experience in marketing, with a focus on digital media, email marketing, and integrated campaigns, preferably within the engineering, construction, and architecture sectors or B2B consulting/professional services.
- Proficiency in desktop publishing software such as Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator, as well as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to create persuasive and visually compelling marketing materials.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, website content management systems, and digital marketing tools.
Working Conditions
Most work is performed in a professional office environment.
Must be local to San Antonio, TX for consideration.
Some travel may be required for trade shows, conferences, and Business Development.
