Job Description

The social media manager is responsible for growing audiences on social platforms. Along with maintaining a posting schedule, the manager should be able to regularly create platform-specific content including hi-res photos and video as well as text posts and graphics. The candidate must have a good eye for trends, the LCM brand and the agency’s clients, and an understanding of social media metrics.


Responsibilities 

  • Act as day-to-day client contact for agency’s social accounts and lead meetings with strong presentation skills
  • Develop comprehensive social media strategies that align with overall communications plans
  • Maintain client’s brand voice while still adapting it to different platforms
  • Monitor and analyze social media trends, audience behavior, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for improvement and regularly share insights, thoughts and key findings
  • Create digital ads and tailor to clients’ demographics
  • Adhere to strict deadlines and be proactive, seeking out creative ideas and opportunities to identify and cultivate compelling content
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest social media best practices, technologies, and trends
  • Delegate effectively, setting clear expectations and deadlines to junior team members
  • Manage quality of work on multiple accounts with professionalism and support team leaders
  • Support on new business proposals with research, brainstorming ideas and proposal creation as it pertains to digital marketing
  • Established relationships with social media influencers and continue to develop a strong network
  • Communicate effectively to all stakeholders including senior management and clients


Qualifications

  • Ability to manage multiple accounts with ease and professionalism
  • Quick decision maker and problem solver
  • Creative writer with experience crafting clear, concise and interesting copy
  • Advanced knowledge and ability to create photography and videography for content
  • Understanding of digital ad protocols on all social media platforms
  • Ability to manage a junior team as a mentor
  • Lead by example; demonstrate proven strong work ethic
  • Proficiency in google ads
  • Ability to test new strategies, new content, and new campaigns
  • Maintain knowledge of what's changing on social networks and in the industry. When shifts or new trends occur, have the ability to react and respond accordingly.
  • Must live in NYC
