Our client is a leading fill-finish contract manufacturing organization in Southern California specializing in the manufacturing of syringes. Our client is in immediate need of two visual quality control inspectors for a 3-month contract. These roles could extend or convert depending on performance. The ideal candidate will have experience in visual inspection and will be skilled in identifying defects such as cracks, leaks, and other visual irregularities that could impact product quality and safety. This role is onsite 5-days/week.
Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed visual inspections of syringes at various stages of production, including pre-fill, post-fill, and final packaging, to identify defects such as cracks, chips, scratches, foreign particles, mislabeling, or other irregularities that could affect product integrity or performance.
- Identify and document any defects, including cracks, incomplete or improper seals, discoloration, or issues with plunger movement.
- Inspect syringes' packaging, labels, and outer cartons for compliance with customer specifications, regulatory requirements
- Maintain accurate inspection records, including detailed defect logs, photographs, checklists, and reports to ensure traceability and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Follow all safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and quality control protocols during inspection processes to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; Associate's degree or technical certification in Quality Control, Manufacturing, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to detect even the most minor defects or inconsistencies, particularly in syringes and other medical devices
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and communicate effectively with the team
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Prior GMP experience is helpful but not required
