Riddell seeks a passionate individual to join the Marketing & Communications (MarCom) team as our summer intern focused on content creation, primarily video. You will be an integral part of this in-house team servicing stakeholders across the business, learning about different types of projects from conception through final execution during our busiest time of year. This role will create social media campaigns, design graphics for various communications, and be key support at our annual content shoot that fuels our 2025 season creative and business materials. Our intern needs to be ready to learn, organized, detail-oriented, and interested in the sports industry, particularly football. The seasonal nature of the football industry also requires our intern to be flexible/adaptable to the various needs of the particular season they are with the MarCom team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned)

  • Create eye-catching pieces, such as digital graphics and video content for social media, that communicate Riddell’s brand objectives
  • Collaborate, plan, and execute compelling content that fulfills company goals, marketing plans, and sponsor activation
  • Ensure consistent styling vision to reflect our brand standards
  • Coordinate and execute video and photo shoots/projects, particularly our annual content shoot that captures all content used by Riddell for the duration of the year and is vital to our Sales catalog
  • Update and maintain asset management and multimedia databases (shared drive)
  • Support project management process utilizing Wrike
  • Stay on top of trends within the video, sports social media, and motion graphics/animations industries
  • Attends team calls and meetings
  • Supports teammates and colleagues with other duties as assigned
  • Opportunity to engage and learn in other MarCom areas as desired such as events, communications, media relations, and more

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • College student or recent graduate with a major in Media, Design, Marketing, or a related field required
  • Previous job experience and/or internship in content creation, design, social media, or related field preferred
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, along with CapCut
  • Display a high level of competency in all areas of video production, including lighting, sound, motion graphics, color correction, and publishing
  • Understanding of social media platforms and content creation for those audiences
  • Willing to travel as necessary, including nights and weekends
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and is comfortable in virtual & in-person office environment
