Reframe the World is seeking a full-time video editor to join their team. The in-house video editor will be responsible for a variety of tasks in editing, motion graphics, and asset organization. The majority of the editing work will be client facing, on branded content, commercial, and social impact content.

We are looking for a creative self-starter, who has the ability to take creative guidance and run with it, making smart creative decisions. Reframe produces content for brands, non-profits, and networks who trust in us to bring creative ideas to life. Our teams of directors, producers, and editors can take a small or vague note from a client and turn and flesh them out in the project based on their own creative decision making.

Responsibilities:

  • Video Editing: Edit and assemble raw footage into polished, engaging, and visually stunning videos that align with specific project and brand guidelines, and client and creative direction.
  • Motion Graphics: Create and implement graphics and motion graphics in video projects, that fit with specific creative and brand guidelines for projects.
  • Storytelling: Possess a keen sense of storytelling to bring out the essence of each project, ensuring that the narrative aligns with the overall objectives.
  • Understanding: Understand how to work with multiple creative inputs on a client-facing project, receiving notes, interpolating them, and putting them into the edit.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the creative team, including producers, directors, and other editors, to brainstorm and execute video concepts that meet project goals.
  • Time Management: Be able to manage your own time, keeping up with workload, and delivering on time, every time, often without direct hourly or daily check ins or supervision. This is critical.
  • Technical Proficiency: Stay up-to-date with the latest video editing software and techniques, ensuring a high level of technical proficiency in editing, color correction, audio editing, and motion graphics.
  • Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality videos.
  • Feedback Integration: Effectively incorporate feedback from stakeholders to refine and enhance video projects.
  • Quality Control: Ensure the final output meets the highest standards of quality and aligns with the company's visual identity.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Proven experience as a video editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing a variety of work. Must have strong experience in commercial and branded content work.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in Adobe Premiere and Aftereffects. Experience with DaVinci Resolve, and other video softwares in the editing, design, and VFX space a plus.
  • Creativity: A creative and artistic mindset, with the ability to think outside the box and bring fresh ideas to the table.
  • Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in both video and audio editing, ensuring a polished and professional final product.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
