UX Production Designer Location: Hybrid in Cupertino, CA preferred; open to remote Duration: 12 months Pay: Up to $72.46/hr, DOE Planet Interactive is looking for a UX Production Designer to join our well-known Fortune 500 client on a 12-month contract. This role will be 40 hours per week and is flexible with onsite requirements. The UX Production Designer is a key team player in ensuring new design intentions of the client's products. In this role, you will provide production mechanical/template building expertise combined with an extraordinary sense of design acumen to maintain the high-level design and quality standards that are the hallmark of our team. We’re looking for an experienced UX Production Designer who is passionate about production and user experience design. You’ll work with designers and engineers to ensure a successful product for both the platform and its users. Responsibilities Collaborate cross functionally to create new design templates, working closely with production and engineering teams Audit various template features, functions, imagery, placeholder text Pressure test new template designs, expose discrepancies in design goals vs production realities, work with engineering to add new features Internal QA: cross checking new content to guarantee work moves into the builds without creating bugs Check out repos and changes to content files and import-generated files Understand how repos behave, tracking file changes for bug investigations, fixing conflicts Work in SourceTree and/or Terminal for GitHub management Create Pull Requests for multiple repo check-ins Write/investigate/fix bugs Has a clear understanding of how to investigate our apps and content to diagnose issues QA finds and communicate findings and proposed fix both efficiently and effectively Has an awareness of LOC layout impacts in new template designs Qualifications 5+ years experience Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills An understanding of GitHub, Terminal, and Radar A deep appreciation for finding simple solutions to complex problems Ability to manage several multi-layered files and a variety of apps Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Contract Job function Design, Art/Creative, and Information Technology Industries Staffing and Recruiting #J-18808-Ljbffr
