Amazon Sports is looking for a self-starter excited to develop vendor relationships, run a P&L, dive deep into their industry, and operate a business in a constantly changing environment.

The Senior Vendor Manager will interface directly with manufacturers and brands to build relationships and business opportunities. Within this role, the individual will set a business strategy, establish and maintain strong vendor relationships, and manage a P&L. In addition, this position is expected to provide leadership across categories - driving systems, process, and customer experience improvements - that will benefit all customers at amazon.com.

The successful Senior Vendor Manager must be able to:

1. Define a strategy for the business and break it down into actionable goals
2. Understand drivers and opportunities of the category P&L
3. Manage relationships with vendors
4. Institute best practices and processes which can be replicated across all categories
5. Lead change with cross-functional teams, and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, while meeting tight deadlines

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

1. 5+ years of account management, project or program management or buying experience
2. Bachelor's degree
3. Experience driving internal cross-team collaboration
4. Experience using data to influence business decisions
5. Experience with business analysis and P&L management
6. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

1. MBA
2. 5+ years working as a buyer in Retail
