Job Title: Kidswear Apparel Designer

We're seeking a talented and experienced Kidswear Apparel Designer to join our team. As a Kidswear Apparel Designer, you will be responsible for creating visually appealing and functional clothing designs for kids, from concept to production. Your expertise will help us stay on-trend and ahead of the competition.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Design high-quality, on-trend kidswear apparel, including casual wear, ethnic wear, and accessories.
  2. Conduct market research, brand product benchmarking, and analyze trends to make informed design decisions.
  3. Illustrate and prototype designs, and present them to the team and stakeholders.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams – sourcing, production, marketing, and buying.
  5. Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our target customer and their needs.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends, fabrics, and technologies.
  7. Meet deadlines and deliver designs on time.

A Day in the Life

The role involves design development, research and trend analysis, collaborations with cross-functional teams, fabric identification, sketching and illustration, prototyping and sampling, communication with stakeholders, time management, and quality control. It involves creating new designs, staying updated with fashion trends, attending meetings, identifying quality materials, creating detailed sketches, and testing designs with prototypes and samples. The role also involves communication with stakeholders, prioritizing tasks, managing deadlines, and conducting quality checks on prototypes and production samples.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience managing teams.
  2. 5+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience.
  3. Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
  4. Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts, and pivot tables).
  5. Experience building, executing, and scaling cross-functional marketing programs.
  6. Experience working with multiple stakeholders at various levels and in different locales to drive alignment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements.
  2. Experience with CRM tools and systems that can be leveraged to drive customer engagement - including but not limited to Adobe, Salesforce, Unica, Marketo, Exact Target, Braze, etc.
  3. Experience building, executing, and scaling digital programmatic campaigns from concept to completion.
