Creative Graphic Designer

POSITION SUMMARY
The primary function of this position is to stay on trend and create new product designs.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES

1. Create original product designs within established creative and technical guidelines to be placed on our website for customers to purchase.
2. Choose graphics, clip art, and photography, as appropriate; may enhance choices with simple drawings.
3. Select fonts for written copy.
4. Consult with graphics manager, and/or other team members as needed on complex or specialized/custom projects.
5. Revise projects as necessary based on collaborative feedback process.
6. Work with Creative Design Lead to obtain feedback on original product designs.
7. Prepare graphic files with tagging and product design standards. Audit and test files before they go online.
8. Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES

1. Proven proficiency using Adobe Creative Suites (InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop) on a PC platform, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
2. Detail-oriented and self-motivated to complete daily projects with efficiency and accuracy.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Aptitude to multi-task to accommodate priority projects when needed.
5. Comfortable collaborating on a team, working independently, and communicating effectively.
6. Comfortable taking direction, feedback, or constructive criticism.
7. Visually creative with good analytical and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment to turn around projects on a timely basis.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

1. Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design preferred, or equivalent work experience required.
2. 3-5 years of experience in graphic design preferred and a keen eye for trend forward design.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
2. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
3. Located in the Arden Hills, MN office.
