POSITION SUMMARY
The Social Media Specialist is responsible for working with the Marketing & Communications Department leadership to establish a social media strategy that generates inbound leads, gains followers, and creates a positive image for the company through the use of social media platforms (FB, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.). This position is responsible for managing AtlantiCare's brand awareness and reputation in social media forums.

The Social Media Specialist must have a solid understanding of SEO and content development ability that integrates with and supports marketing strategies occurring in other marketing and communication channels. This position will be responsible for content development such as blogging, creating social media profiles, managing regular posts, and responding to followers both positive and negative.

The role is responsible for regularly evaluating the success of the social media efforts and adjusting the strategy as needed by developing a key performance indicator dashboard. The individual must have a working knowledge of analytic tools and social media management tools (such as Later, Synthesio, Sprout Social, or Hootsuite) to help automate publishing content on various social media sites and analyzing engagement. This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts, and demonstrating a commitment to teamwork and cooperation.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, journalism, or related field is required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:
EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years experience in digital marketing required; health care industry and responsibility for social media strategy experience preferred. High level of social media understanding, trends, and best practices required. Excellent written communication, strategic thinking, leadership, project management, and organization skills required.

Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires some walking/standing and may have prolonged periods of sitting. Works with such equipment as a computer terminal, fax machine, printer, telephone, and copier. Position requires some travel, flexibility of hours including weekends, evenings, and on-call coverage as well as lifting up to 20 lbs. Essential functions for this position are listed on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool.

This position reports to department leadership.
