About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and mission-obsessed Head of Editorial to join our team at Superpower. In this unique, high-impact role, you will have the opportunity to shape the voice of our cutting-edge brand, ensuring our content stands out, inspires trust, and empowers people to take control of their health.
Key Responsibilities
- Content Strategy: Own and develop a content strategy that bolsters Superpower as the go-to authority on longevity. You will balance clinical rigor with compelling storytelling, driving our ambition to create the best longevity content and blog in the world.
- Content Creation: Lead the creation of engaging and educational content—such as blog posts, newsletters, and guides—that empowers patients to understand and apply the science of longevity to their lives.
- Editing & Quality Control: Ensure clarity, consistency, and factual accuracy by reviewing and optimizing all customer-facing content written by our team.
- Conversion-Focused Writing: Optimize content for engagement and conversion, focusing on driving newsletter sign-ups, customer retention, and membership interest.
- Research & Awareness: Conduct rigorous analysis of the latest research papers in longevity science. Translate complex scientific findings into easy-to-understand, actionable insights for our patient community.
You might thrive in this role if you…
- Are obsessed with clarity and can turn complex clinical topics into compelling, reader-friendly content.
- Have a strong editorial background—ideally in health, medical, or science-focused content.
- Love writing that drives action—you know how to write (or edit) content that informs, persuades, and converts.
- Have a strong grasp of clinical accuracy—whether you’re a PhD, clinician, or simply have a strong interest in the field.
- Have experience scaling content teams or managing freelancers, contractors, and subject-matter experts.
- Stay up-to-date on health trends and understand what kind of content breaks through the noise in the wellness and longevity space.
- Are deeply interested in your own health—you don’t just edit medical content, it’s a reflection of your deep interests.
- Have a growth mindset, embracing challenges, learning from feedback, and continuously striving for improvement in a fast-paced, evolving field.
While we focus on raw talent above experience, we are looking for people with 2-3 years of professional work experience in a similar editorial role, ideally at an early-stage or growth-stage startup.
