Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Journalist / Reporter to research, write, and deliver compelling news stories that engage our audience. The ideal candidate has strong writing and research skills, can work under tight deadlines, and is passionate about reporting on both local and national news.
Responsibilities:
- Research, investigate, and write news stories, features, and reports.
- Conduct interviews with sources, officials, and experts.
- Stay updated on current events and trends for timely news coverage.
- Attend press conferences, community meetings, and other relevant events.
- Collaborate with editors and team members to refine and enhance content.
- Adapt to fast-paced reporting demands while ensuring accuracy and credibility.
- Utilize digital tools and social media to promote articles and engage with readers.
Qualifications:
- Experience in journalism, reporting, or writing (published work preferred).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle fast-paced reporting demands.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable.
- Comfortable working in an office setting with occasional field assignments.
- High school diploma or GED required; a degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field is a plus.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Fluency in Russian is an advantage.
