Position Description

The NWSL Social and Influencer Marketing team is seeking a Senior Manager, Social Media with experience planning, producing, and publishing social content for a brand. This position will require a passion for women's soccer and the NWSL, a balance of creativity and strategy, and deep understanding of creating content for distribution across various social platforms. Working closely with the broader Marketing team, the Senior Manager, Social Media will help celebrate and elevate the most engaging stories of the League, Clubs, Players, and Partners, both on and off the pitch.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage the NWSL's social content publishing calendar, including both organic and sponsored social content
  • Work with the Social Media Manager to oversee content planning and production, ensuring alignment with brand voice and tone and with a constant eye toward driving business goals and objectives
  • Iterate and evolve social content and strategy based on performance data and relevant social trends
  • Stay up to date on platforms and how to optimize them
  • Utilize social media to engage core fans and also reach new audiences
  • Work with NWSL comms team to ensure content follows League messaging and storylines
  • Manage relationship with our graphic design agency in partnership with the Social Media Manager to streamline requests and ensure timely delivery of content
  • Implement community management strategy in partnership with Social Media Manager
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team to develop social content plans and concepts for League brand campaigns, tentpole events, and current + prospective partners
  • Work closely with club social teams to encourage collaboration and cross-promotion

Minimum Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience working in social media
  • Deep knowledge of soccer and the NWSL
  • Tapped into internet trends and pop culture
  • Proven ability to tie social content and activations back to business goals and objectives
  • Abilility to deliver high-quality work results and flawlessly execute under deadlines
  • Disciplined approach to managing multiple projects but maintain the necessary flexibility to adapt when adjustments are required
  • Highly organized, proactive, and self-motivated and handle ambiguity
  • Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong editorial judgment
  • Experience using the Adobe Creative Suite

NWSL observes a hybrid work schedule of three working days in the physical office and two remote working days. No relocation assistance will be provided. No relocation assistance will be provided.

NWSL salaries are contingent upon candidates' qualifications, functional business needs, and market financials.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $115,000
