About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Lead Web Designer to drive our web design strategy, develop engaging digital experiences, and ensure optimal website performance. This role requires a strong blend of creativity, technical expertise, and collaboration with cross-functional teams, including developers, marketers, and content strategists. As a Lead Web Designer, you will play a key role in shaping the digital experience, guiding junior designers, and ensuring best practices in web development, UX/UI, and accessibility.
What Youll Do
Lead the web design strategy Create and maintain websites that reflect branding, user needs, and business objectives.
Design engaging web experiences Develop high-quality web pages, landing pages, interactive elements, and HTML email templates.
Enhance SEO & performance Optimize site architecture, infrastructure, and design for search engines, fast loading speeds, and seamless navigation.
Ensure ADA compliance Implement and maintain accessibility best practices to ensure all web experiences meet ADA standards.
Implement and maintain data trackers Manage and optimize data tracking tools such as Google Tag Manager (GTM) for campaign performance monitoring.
Collaborate cross-functionally Work with developers, marketers, content strategists, and CRM teams to align design with business objectives.
Work within a CDP Leverage Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) to create personalized and data-driven web experiences.
Lead and mentor designers Provide creative direction, feedback, and training to junior web designers, ensuring quality and consistency across all projects.
Stay ahead of trends Research and apply the latest web design technologies, tools, and best practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Requirements
5+ years of web design experience with a strong portfolio of high-quality website projects.
Proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Adobe XD.
Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, or similar).
Experience with CRMs and designing/maintaining HTML email templates.
Strong understanding of technical SEO best practices and how design and site infrastructure impact search performance.
Proficiency in HTML & CSS (must be able to collaborate closely with developers and troubleshoot design-related coding issues).
Familiarity with responsive and mobile-first design principles.
Knowledge of ADA compliance standards and best practices for web accessibility.
Experience with data tracking implementation (e.g., Google Tag Manager) for campaign performance monitoring.
Excellent communication and leadership skills ability to articulate design decisions, provide feedback, and guide teams.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs (e.g., setting up workstations, displays, or office materials).
