MEP Commercial Design Estimator
The MEP Design Estimator will play a critical role in developing comprehensive Large MEP project designs and precise cost estimates for various projects. This position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, ensuring designs meet client requirements, and contributing to the overall project success.
Responsibilities
Develop detailed engineering designs based on project specifications and requirements. Produce accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for proposed projects. Collaborate with project managers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet client expectations. Review and analyze technical drawings, specifications, and other project documentation. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for proposed designs. Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations. Monitor and evaluate project progress and make necessary adjustments to designs and estimates. Prepare and present design proposals and cost estimates to clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field. Proven experience in MEP design and estimation within the mechanical industry. Strong understanding of engineering principles, construction methods, and project management. Proficiency in design and estimation software tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar). Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
