Monday, February 10, 2025 Simon & Schuster Audio is seeking an experienced Marketing Manager/Senior Marketing Manager to join our enthusiastic, creative, and collaborative Marketing & Publicity team. The ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with great author care skills and a history of successful book/audiobook marketing campaigns. We are looking for someone who comes in day one ready to develop, execute, and measure the success of title-specific marketing campaigns, collaborate with in-house imprint colleagues, present to external stakeholders, and build campaigns from scratch for select titles in our rapidly growing list of original audiobooks. Primary Responsibilities: Work day-to-day with authors and their teams (social, website, newsletter, agents, etc.) to find creative ways to highlight the audio format for both traditional audio releases and our dynamic new line of audio originals. Build strong relationships across Simon & Schuster for effective collaboration with imprint marketing teams. Liaise with sales, editorial, digital and ad promo departments, work hand in hand with audio production and audio publicity. Create compelling marketing assets including behind the scenes interviews, excerpts, copy and more for use in advertising and across Simon & Schuster, author, and account social media channels. Requirements: Relevant experience with proven results in the publishing space. Experience building title marketing campaigns from the ground up, seeing them through, and measuring their impact. History of working directly with authors and their teams, managing campaigns, budgets, ads, and expectations. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Extensive familiarity with copywriting for social media platforms. Strong time management skills with a keen ability to juggle multiple ongoing projects, detail oriented with the ability to prioritize, meet tight deadlines, and work independently with good follow-up and follow-through. Proficiency in Word and Excel. Familiarity with video editing a big asset. Experience as/or working with influencers and content creators a plus. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
