Responsible for all technical aspects of video production while in operation, and ensures that picture and sound quality meet technical standards of the television industry. As the training officer, supervises and instructs technicians in TV theory, fiber optic theory and equipment operations. Oversees the documentation of the President, Vice President, First Lady and Senior White House staff activities; receives, distributes, and records audio feeds, both on-the-record, and off-the-record from Presidential event sites worldwide. Directs Presidential event audio and video recordings, event setups at locations including the White House Complex, Oval Office, White House Press Briefing Room, East Room, State Dining Room, Rose Garden, South Lawn, etc. Maintains and operates broadcast quality video cameras and audio recording systems, sound reinforcement systems, audio tape recordings and teleprompter systems for the President and others as directed by the White House Military Office. Documents constitutional, statutory, official and ceremonial duties within and outside the United States. Catalogs, edits and duplicates media as requested. Prepares submissions to the National Archives for inclusion in the Presidential Library. Requirements

Must be a U.S. Citizen. This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination. Drug Testing Position, subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. Recall/On Call 24/7 Position. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service. This position is covered under DoD Manual 8140 which will be subject to future Cyber Workforce requirements as defined by the Manual. This is a Top Secret/SCI position with Yankee White. Qualifications In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below. Individual Occupational Requirement

Undergraduate and Graduate Education:

Major study -- photography, radio or television production, motion picture production, or other fields related to the position. Qualifying Experience:

To qualify at the GG-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience coordinating broadcast technicians using audiovisual equipment, and experience with teleprompter systems. Candidates must describe how they meet the qualifying experience and/or selective placement factor(s) within the body of their resume. All qualifications must be met within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement. Additionally, prior to reporting for duty the selectee must be found eligible for a DoD Top Secret security clearance with access to Special Compartmented Information (SCI) based upon an Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), AND be approved for Presidential Support Duty in accordance with Department of Defense Directive 5210.55 (Yankee White - Category II, minimum). This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. There is no substitution of education for the Qualifying Experience at the GG-13 grade level. If you are using education to meet the Individual Occupational Requirement you will need to submit your unofficial/official transcripts with your application. Failure to provide transcripts, or a determination that you do not possess the education requirement, will result in objection to your qualifications, and removal from consideration in accordance with competitive examining procedures. To be creditable, education must have been obtained in an accredited college or university. This is an Excepted Service position and does not confer eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment under 10 U.S.C. 1599f. A three year probationary or trial period may be required. Telework availability will be based upon the mission requirements and supervisory determination. This position is subject to completion of 1 year probationary period for assignment to a supervisory position. Individuals tentatively selected for drug testing designated positions at the Defense Information Systems Agency will be required to submit to urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment or placement. We may use this announcement to fill additional vacancies within 90 days of the closing date. Moving costs MAY be paid. Recruitment, relocation, or retention incentives MAY be authorized.
