Job Summary
The Cirrus Field Service Training team is seeking a highly motivated, creative, and detail-orientated Technical Instructor & Content Developer. As a member of the Maintenance Training Team the Instructor/content developer will be a part of the overall goal of the Departments mission to provide a world class aircraft maintenance training experience for the Cirrus Aircraft Authorized Service Center (ASC) Network, Factory Service Center (FSC) Network and Various independent Aircraft Maintenance Technicians (AMTs) worldwide.
The Instructor/Content Developer will help manage and grow our global training curriculum for the Cirrus SR-series and SF- series aircraft. This will include advance avionics platforms and how they integrate to mechanical systems, structures, return to service practice and troubleshooting.
Duties and Responsibilities/Essential Functions
As an Instructor and Developer, you are a part of the Cirrus Field Support team which helps our ASCs and independent technicians support and maintain Cirrus Aircrafts global fleet. This will be accomplished by collaborating with a cross-functional group of specialists to support our global network of maintenance partners. You will specialize in curriculum design, development, and delivery for SR and SF series of Cirrus aircraft. Alongside curriculum design and development, you will play a key role as an SR & SF-series subject matter expert for all training content creation. For this reason, you will work closely with factory engineers, field service representatives, FSC technicians, and Cirrus pilots.
In addition, you will fill a designated role as an instructor in the Service Training Departments EASA Part 147 Organization. Cirrus Aircraft must meet the requirements and maintain an approved EASA Part 147 Training organization for the SF50 Vision Jet.
The Instructor/Developer will help create and deliver training using the following methods: Live in person training, Computer based Training (CBT), Live Webinar/Virtual Events, and Training videos.
- Attendance must be regular, reliable, and predictable attendance.
- Travel requirements estimated at 25%, including the need to travel internationally.
- Company vehicle driving requirements estimated at 10%; must have valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
- Associate and/or bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent education (military training, advanced OEM certificated training) preferred.
- Current A & P license and/or 14 CFR Part 65 Airman Certificate preferred.
- Minimum 5 years aircraft Maintenance experience. This experience is based on maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of the SR2X and SF50 series aircraft. Avionics experience preferred.
- Current US passport or ability to obtain one for international travel.
Demonstrated Proficiencies/Skills/Abilities:
- Proven ability to drive amazing learning experiences and results through implementation of accepted teaching methods.
- Highly skilled at identifying training needs, then inventing creative training solutions to meet those needs.
- Strong written and verbal skills, with the ability to write clear and accurate technical documents describing processes and standards.
- Proven ability in developing and managing training curriculum, preferred.
