Job Description
Holladay Distillery, a leading name in the liquor industry known for its premium spirits, is seeking a dynamic and creative In-House Public Relations Specialist to join our team in Weston. This role will serve as the primary liaison between Holladay Distillery and our external PR firm, focusing on enhancing brand visibility, managing our public image, and driving strategic PR initiatives for our premium liquor brands.
Key Responsibilities:
- PR Strategy Development: Work closely with the external PR firm to develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies that align with the company's marketing objectives and brand vision.
- Brand Advocacy: Act as the brand ambassador for Holladay Distillery, ensuring all PR activities reflect our commitment to quality, heritage, and innovation in the spirits industry.
- Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with local, regional, and national media outlets to secure coverage. Manage press releases, media inquiries, and coordinate media events.
- Content Creation: Develop compelling content for various platforms, including press kits, blog posts, social media content, and newsletters, tailored to engage both industry insiders and consumers.
- Crisis Communication: Prepare and manage crisis communication plans, ensuring rapid and effective response to protect the brand's reputation.
- Event Coordination: Plan and execute PR events, product launches, tastings, and tours to promote the brand, working alongside the marketing team for seamless integration.
- Performance Analysis: Monitor, analyze, and report on PR campaign performance, using insights to refine strategies and enhance future PR efforts.
- Internal Communication: Keep internal stakeholders informed about PR activities and outcomes, ensuring alignment across departments.
- Agency Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact with our external PR firm, ensuring they have the resources and information needed to represent our brand accurately.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in public relations, preferably within the spirits, beverage, or consumer goods industry.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful PR campaigns.
- Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities with media and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in social media management and digital PR strategies.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of the Midwest market and its media landscape is a plus.
- Must be 21 years or older due to the nature of the industry.
