Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and motivated UX Designer Intern to join our team. In this role, you will primarily focus on creating compelling and user-friendly designs, while also participating in research activities to inform and enhance your work. You will collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team to gather insights, understand user needs, and contribute to the overall design strategy.
The 10-week internship program begins June 2, 2025 through August 8, 2025.

Essential Functions
Design Deliver screen designs and information architecture that meet user needs and feature requirements for digital experiences. Incorporate accessibility, platform consistency, and design standards throughout your work. Provide feedback on the design framework and component library to help shape long-term design strategies and vision at UFCU. Assist in updating the team's content library, support a design library upgrade, and manage pieces of the UX intranet space. Research
Collaborate with front-line staff to gather insight and understand user needs, using these to inform your understanding of the design thinking process and effectively communicate concepts. Engage with user research strategies and methodologies to help the UX team better understand what would make a member's experience more intuitive, accessible, and seamless. Professional
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes Complete required regulatory training as assigned. Maintain strict adherence and compliance to all laws, rules, regulations and internal controls specific to your role, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending regulations. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
Familiar with designer tools including Figma, Mural, and Trello. Basic understanding of the user-centered design process and atomic design. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate concepts clearly and convincingly to leadership. Competencies

Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent Currently enrolled as a full-time student with accredited college or universities Currently seeking a Degree in Human Computer Interaction, Design, Interaction Design, or related fields. Public contact position, requiring appropriate professional appearance. Frequent computer use at a workstation up to two hours at a time. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
