Growth Marketing

you'll drive the way we connect with pet owners to grow Modern Animal's active member base. Leveraging skills in performance marketing, experimentation, and conversion rate optimization, and referrals, you'll build scalable digital marketing campaigns from the ground up that reach, convert, and activate new members.

The ideal candidate has a strong paid media background, analytical/organized mindset, with particular expertise in paid social and SEM as well as experience scaling referral programs. You have launched high-impact paid media campaigns that drove measurable results, and have proven experience working with Engineering and Design teams to address gaps in the overall conversion funnel. You deeply understand how to leverage performance channels to reach new audiences and build an enduring brand, and adopt a customer-obsessed approach to marketing messages. Most importantly, you're eager to roll up your sleeves to bring our mission to life as we grow.

This role reports directly to the Director of Growth and will work 1-2 days per week from our headquarters in Culver City, CA, with flexibility for remote work during the other days of the week.

In this role, you will:

Own the end-to-end development and execution of paid social and SEM campaigns to acquire customers for new and existing clinics against performance targets Develop a robust referral strategy (both online and offline) and work cross-functionally to launch Drive the creative strategy of our marketing campaigns, clearly briefing in Content/Creative team and partnering closely on the final delivery Identify and launch improvements to the Modern Animal website and app to drive performance results, including building/developing custom landing pages Build and deliver on a robust experimentation plan across paid channels and web touchpoints to drive tangible, measurable outcomes Develop a deep understanding of our user journeys and attribution Use data-driven insights to prioritize, lead, and implement new solutions that cost-effectively drive member conversion and volume Evolve and iterate upon the Growth Marketing paid marketing playbook that enables robust market expansion, including testing / scaling new digital marketing channels Why you'd be a great fit:

Minimum 5-6 years of relevant B2C growth or performance marketing experience, preferably growing a significant customer base in a startup environment Demonstrated experience in digital marketing programs and technologies (SEM, Paid Social, Display) - Meta Ads advertising experience is a must Strong experience with marketing attribution and conversion tracking such as Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and other marketing measurement tools Passion for developing best-in-class campaigns and creative Ability to work independently and efficiently while managing multiple projects under tight deadlines Biased to action in iterative processes, willing to tackle problems hands-on and get things done Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical and quantitative skills - knowledge of SQL is a strong plus but not required Based in Los Angeles, or willing to relocate What you can expect from us:

The pay range for this position is $122,000 - $157,000 per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and equity grant units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered. This information is provided per the California Pay Transparency Act. Base pay information is based on geographic location.
