Who we are looking for
Circuit Media is seeking a skilled and adaptable Videographer. As part of a small but growing company this individual would get to work on projects from conceptualization to final product primarily with one other crew member. If this sounds exciting to you, check out the job details below!
Key Responsibilities
- Work as the primary videographer, reporting to a supervising producer/manager, to create, shoot, and edit videos (from conceptualization to final product), including scriptwriting/storyboarding, camera operation, lighting, audio capture, and post-production services. This will include a mixture of solo work and work as part of a small crew. End products are primarily short-form, interview-style, marketing, storytelling, and informational videos for various government agencies.
- Collaborate with manager and small video team to write scripts and develop creative ideas for internal and external video projects.
- Collaborate with the Business Development team to identify and pursue opportunities in line with the company.
- Provide video production, editing, and creative writing/development support on contracted work with government clients, as needed.
- Conduct interviews and provide creative direction during filming.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proactive communicator who can receive and provide feedback professionally
- Excellent collaboration skills as well as ability to work alone
- Strong understanding and knowledge of digital video cinematography, lighting, audio, and video editing
- Strong understanding of cinematography and lighting techniques
- Strong understanding of digital video technology, cameras, equipment and video production workflows
- Strong understanding of the creative development process (storyboarding and scriptwriting)
- Proficiency in motion graphic development
- Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments
- Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail
- Strong verbal/written communication skills for collaborating with clients and team members
- Ability to develop subject interview questions and conduct on-camera interviews
- Knowledge of post-production techniques and editing software
- Ability to develop closed-captions and audio descriptions preferred
- Understanding of government processes, standards, and requirements preferred
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in film or related field
- 5+ years of continuous experience in shooting, lighting, and editing video
- 3 years of experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects) or Final Cut Pro
- Ability to travel throughout the Denver Metro area regularly for filming, and throughout the U.S. for filming as needed, typically for no more than one week at a time, 1-4 times/year
Preferred
- Experience working with government agencies
- Experience with Microsoft Office (word, ppt, excel) & Google Drive
- 2 years of experience working with Sony cameras (Sony A7) preferred

Salary Range: $61,500 - $70,500 annually. Dependent on relevant experience, knowledge, and performance.
