American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses and corporations of all sizes, with small business being the largest customer segment and a continued area of investment and focus. The Small Business Marketing (SBM) team is responsible for acquisition and customer engagement marketing across our full suite of small business products.

Within SBM, the Small Business Customer Marketing team focuses on delivering customer-centric marketing to our existing customers. The Vice President will be responsible for leading a high performing team of 30 marketers to deliver holistic, integrated, and innovative marketing programs that deepen and grow our customer engagement with American Express.

Responsibilities include:

Develop and execute a holistic customer marketing strategy, with strategic collaboration across the enterprise with key partners such as Product Management, US Consumer (USCS) and Enterprise Digital and Data Solutions (EDDS), Global Servicing Group, Finance and Analytics

Evolve Customer Marketing success metrics and establish shared goals with critical enterprise partners

Identify new areas of innovation and growth to deepen engagement and drive spend, leveraging relationships and best practices from across the enterprise and external landscape

Develop and lead a strategic learning agenda toexplore new opportunitiesthat allow us to reach and communicate with our customers in more personalized, seamless ways

Support the enterprise marketing capability initiatives as a key partner to identify use cases, define key requirements for commercial customer engagement and run and evaluate tests or pilots

Partner closely with Global Investment Optimization (GIO), Finance, and Analytics to measure and grow revenue growth from optimized marketing

Liaise closely with other GCSM marketing teams to ensure a cohesive marketing experience for Small Business customers

Qualifications:

Proven strategic marketer with experience translating customer insights to marketing strategy

Critical thinker with the ability to continuously evolve marketing and channel strategy, informed by data

Exceptional people leader who motivates a team to deliver in a dynamic environment while investing in talent and culture across the team

Results oriented with a history of delivering on complex initiatives and finding creative solutions

Passion for innovation and continuous improvement, known for deploying best practices from across the company and the external landscape

Strong enterprise and cross-functional collaborator who can influence across disciplines and levels

Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions

Qualifications

Salary Range: $185,000.00 to $260,000.00 annually bonus equity (if applicable) benefits
