Job Overview:
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Videographer to join our marketing team. The role will be in office based in Palo Alto. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling through visual media and possess the technical skills to capture, edit, and produce high-quality video content for various platforms - formal, informal, long and short form. This role involves collaborating with several internal and external teams, planning shoots, and ensuring that the final product meets our brand’s vision and objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Production:
- Capture high-quality footage using professional video equipment.
- Plan and execute shoots, including setting up lighting, audio, and camera angles.
- Direct on-camera talent and coordinate with production teams during filming.
- Work also includes creating and editing audio files only.
- Editing & Post-Production:
- Edit raw footage into polished final videos using industry-standard software.
- Integrate graphics, animations, and sound design to enhance visual storytelling.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects, adhering to brand guidelines and deadlines.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with creative directors, producers, and other team members to conceptualize and storyboard video projects.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to tailor video content for social media, websites, and other platforms.
- Participate in creative meetings to contribute innovative ideas and improve production processes.
- Project Management:
- Organize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Communicate progress and challenges with relevant stakeholders.
- Maintain an organized library of video assets and project files.
- Proactively seek content and work with internal and external parties.
- Equipment & Maintenance:
- Operate and maintain video cameras, lighting equipment, and audio recording devices.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and ensure all equipment is functioning properly.
Qualifications:
- Experience & Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as a videographer or in a similar role, with a strong portfolio showcasing previous work.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, After Effects).
- Knowledge of shooting techniques, lighting, and sound recording.
- Familiarity with digital camera operations and video equipment maintenance.
- Shooting appropriate video and audio content for different channels - long, short, formal, informal.
- Soft Skills:
- Creative eye for detail and a passion for storytelling.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work well both independently and with others, manage time effectively, and meet tight deadlines.
- Adaptability and problem-solving skills in dynamic production environments.
