Intrepid Studios is looking for a passionate and talented Senior Network Engineer, interested in working with a studio creating worlds in a brand new IP. This position will work with all game dev departments as well as leadership to ensure that the studio network is in top form and meeting the needs of the entire organization.

Responsibilities

1. Design, configure, maintain and optimize network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
2. Ensure network security through the implementation of firewalls, VPNs, and other security measures
3. Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime
4. Collaborate with team members and leadership to develop and implement network solutions that meet organizational needs
5. Perform regular network assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and areas for improvement
6. Maintain comprehensive documentation of network configurations, changes, and procedures
7. Provide technical support and guidance to end-users and other team members
8. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in networking technologies

Requirements/Qualifications

1. Proven experience as a Network Engineer/Administrator or similar role
2. Experience with Ubiquiti, Palo Alto, and Dell EMC networking stacks
3. Strong understanding of network protocols, routing, and switching
4. Experience with network security practices and technologies
5. Familiarity with virtualization technologies and cloud-based services
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
7. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
8. Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+, etc.) are a plus

Preferred Skills

1. Experience with a wide range of networking technologies and vendors
2. Knowledge of scripting and automation tools
3. Understanding of ITIL practices and principles
4. Experience with network monitoring and management tools
5. Familiarity with disaster recovery and business continuity planning
6. Experience and familiarity with storage appliances/systems

We offer competitive pay based on market standards plus a significant annual bonus structure. The base salary for this role is between $80,000 - $120,000, depending on skills and experience. Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall throughout the range based on these factors.
