As a Systems engineer in our fast growing and innovative team, you will help maintain and support large-scale systems that power dynamic ad insertion (DAI) for live sports and live events. Your work will directly impact millions of viewers worldwide, ensuring seamless ad delivery with high performance and low latency. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex problems in the high throughput, real-time streaming domain, bringing customers an exceptional viewing experience.

Key job responsibilities
In this role you will:
  1. Become a key member of the Live DAI services development and implementation team.
  2. Design and develop system architecture, ensuring scalability, security, and efficiency.
  3. Integrate and manage software, hardware, and network components to optimize system performance.
  4. Troubleshoot system issues and implement solutions to enhance stability and reliability.
  5. Automate processes for improved system efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  6. Continuously improve systems to enhance viewer experience and advertiser effectiveness.
  7. Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and reliability for large-scale events.
  8. Work closely with implementation teams to troubleshoot issues, perform data-driven analysis of results, and make recommendations for improvements and corrective actions.
  9. Shape the future of seamless personalized ad experience.
  10. Be at the forefront of optimizing performance at scale, ensuring milliseconds-level latency and millions of ad transactions run smoothly during live broadcasts.

A day in the life
As a Systems Engineer, you will provide leadership supporting execution of Live DAI systems design, verification, and operation activities. You will become a subject matter expert on the Live DAI system design and will be called upon frequently as such to support critical troubleshooting activities. You will help develop and work extensively with onboarding and troubleshooting dynamic ad insertion issues during live events, making a tangible impact on ad insertion in the streaming experience worldwide.

Our team is chartered to design and build large-scale, high-performance systems for dynamic ad insertion in live streaming. We enable ad delivery for major live events (TNF, NHL, NASCAR, UCL, NBA), ensuring seamless integration and exceptional viewer experience. Our focus is on availability, reliability, and scalability, supporting millions of ad transactions daily. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
  2. Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
  3. Experience with Linux/Unix.
  4. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.
  5. Bachelor's degree.
  6. 4+ years of designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and existing systems.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  1. Experience with distributed systems at scale.
