Responsibilities
We are currently looking for qualified full time Music/Art Therapist to join our team of dedicated Behavioral Health professionals working with adults and adolescents dealing with psychiatric and/or substance abuse issues.
The Music/Art Therapist plans, organizes, coordinates and leads recreation therapy activities. The Music/Art Therapist will ensure the program is appropriate to the needs and interest and capacities of patients and is directed toward restoring and maintaining optimal levels of physical and psychosocial functioning. Responsibilities also include assessing each patient within seventy-two (72) hours of admission and completing daily progress notes on patient's participation toward recreation goals.
The Vines Hospital, located in Ocala, FL is a premier behavioral health facility offering individualized mental health and addiction treatment to adults in a secure and private setting. Our services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs. We offer acute psychiatric, detox, and PTSD treatment.

Qualifications
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
- Masters degree in Music or Art Therapy
- Two (2) years of experience providing Music or Art Therapy in a psychiatric setting with adult population or a Long Term Care setting preferred.
- Current certification in Recreation Therapy or must be willing to take the certification within 60 days of hire.
Physical Requirements:
- Extensive sitting, standing, walking, reading, lifting over (50 lbs.) pounds and participation in active physical recreational program.
- Able to assist with the restraint of individuals weighing up to 250 pounds.
