Job Description

CD PROJEKT RED is looking for a Senior UI Technical Artist to join our studio in Boston to work on Project Orion, the follow-up to Cyberpunk 2077 and the next major video game in the Cyberpunk franchise. This technical role will work with a diverse team ranging from artists to programmers in order to build engaging, performant, and effective UI.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Working closely with UI Artists and UI programmers, as well as developers from other disciplines, to implement UI solutions.
  • Creation of workflows and pipelines.
  • Implementing and maintaining UI assets in Unreal 5.
  • Delivering proper technical designs and reviewing general user experience.
  • Communicating scenarios, interactions and designs to the team.
  • Ensuring the technical consistency and integrity of UI assets.
  • Troubleshooting solutions to technical problems.
  • Defining and documenting technical standards and best practices.
  • Testing and debugging UI content.
  • Maintaining the production pipeline and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years of working experience with UI development or Technical Art in the gaming industry.
  • Ability to work independently to identify and own work, deliver results.
  • Proficiency in design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, InVision, or similar.
  • Expertise with Blueprint and Unreal 5.
  • HLSL and Unity ShaderLab knowledge.
  • Good understanding of graphics optimization practices.
  • Ability to do layout designs with provided tools (Unreal or any other engine).
  • Knowledge of anchor/layout design for different aspect ratios.
  • Understanding of different input systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, friendly and approachable attitude.

This job requires working in Boston, US.
Working mode: in-office in a hybrid or full-time capacity.
