Yoto’s Content Team
Content is at the heart of our business, and we have a global team of children’s media specialists – with experience across publishing, music, education, rights, and audio production – who carefully consider every title that makes it into our library. We licence existing audio from some of the biggest names in the world of kids’ entertainment (Universal Music, Sony Music, Concord, Naxos, Penguin Random House, Disney and many more), and also develop and produce our own content as part of our Yoto Originals range.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Working with the Head of Music to help manage our global partnerships with major and indie labels, artists, publishers and composers.
- Overseeing all project management elements including, planning, scheduling and reporting.
- Selecting titles to release as Yoto Cards and working with partners and internal teams to manage the process, from contracting to production through to marketing - keep our partners involved and informed throughout.
- Coordinating all partner reporting requirements - labels, publisher, PROs and CMOs.
- Helping program our much-loved radio stations - keeping them fresh, interesting and engaging for listeners around the world.
- Sourcing of new labels, artists and creative talent in new markets as licensed or marketplace partners, or to work on Yoto Original music projects. Managing agreements, briefing, feedback and delivery.
- Manage ad-hoc music licensing requests from other parts of the business.
What You’ll Bring
- An unwavering passion for the power of music and a deep understanding of how the industry operates.
- Demonstrable experience working within the music industry - at a label, publisher, media company or agency - ideally with specific music licensing experience.
- A strong attention to detail with proven project management skills.
- A growing network of contacts throughout the industry and a hunger to grow and nurture that further.
- An ability to creatively curate and select music that works for younger audiences and families.
- A natural problem solver who thrives on finding creative solutions and adapting to challenges as they come.
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively, sharing ideas, and supporting colleagues to achieve common goals.
- A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to take initiative and continuously learn in an ever-evolving industry.
Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 per annum, based on experience.
What You Can Expect From Us
- Flexibility: Hybrid working with a choice based approach - we would love you to come into the Brooklyn office twice a week, if not more. Take advantage of our ‘work from anywhere’ policy to work from a different location for up to 6 weeks every year. Summer Hours policy to use between the months of June and August.

- Time Off: 31 PTO days per year, which include 20 vacation days, plus 11 holidays. On top of this, you also receive your birthday off, plus 1 extra day of holiday for every year worked after you hit your 2 year anniversary, up to 5 extra days. After 4 years of service, you are also eligible for our sabbatical policy offering up to 3 months' of unpaid sabbatical.
