General Summary:

As a Qualcomm Systems Engineer, you will research, design, develop, simulate, and/or validate systems-level software, hardware, architecture, algorithms, and solutions that enable the development of cutting-edge technology. Qualcomm Systems Engineers collaborate across functional teams to meet and exceed system-level requirements and standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  2. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
  3. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.

Responsibilities:

  1. Work in the GCC, LLVM, glibc, and related open source communities to add features and improve performance for Qualcomm processors.
  2. Identify areas for improvement in compiler toolsets via benchmarking and code analysis.
  3. Collaborate with hardware teams to plan, identify, and contribute support in open source projects for hardware features in Qualcomm silicon.
  4. Identify areas for improvement in tool usability via interaction with users.
  5. Explore new optimization frameworks for leveraging advanced CPU features.
  6. Design, develop and contribute features to open source ML frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge and/or experience in compiler frameworks such as GCC or LLVM.
  2. Experience in working with open source communities.
  3. Programming in C/C++.
  4. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  2. Established record of contributions to open source compiler projects.
  3. Strong background in computer architecture.
