Description
Dresser Utility Solutions is seeking a Marketing Intern to join our team. This position is ideal for a motivated individual who is looking to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing.
Responsibilities
- Marketing & Sales Content Hub Optimization: Apply the 5S methodology to reorganize and optimize shared drives housing marketing and sales content, creating a streamlined and easily navigable content hub. Roll out the new system and guidelines to relevant teams, ensuring adoption and gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
- Voice of Customer (VOC) & Marketing Literature Enhancement: Conduct Voice of Customer research across key channel partners to gather insights into the effectiveness and clarity of existing marketing literature. Prioritize product lines based on strategic importance and potential impact, then analyze VOC feedback to drive tangible improvements and updates to marketing materials (brochures, website copy, presentations, etc.). This includes documenting findings, proposing revisions, and collaborating with relevant teams to implement changes throughout the summer.
- ERP Data Accuracy Initiative: Leverage data analysis skills to proactively identify, analyze, and correct data inaccuracies and inconsistencies within the ERP system. While the team will provide initial guidance, the intern will independently investigate, implement data cleanup strategies, and document findings to improve overall data quality and accuracy.
- Cross-Functional Exposure & Development: As a secondary objective, the intern will shadow the Product Director and Sr Commercial Operations Manager on recurring and strategic meetings to gain a broad, cross-functional understanding of the company. This experience may lead to opportunities to lead/manage meetings, drive organizational alignment, and contribute to additional data analysis projects.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum GPA requirement of 3.2.
- Strong desire to learn along with professional drive.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with marketing computer software and social media platforms.
- Good understanding of the latest marketing trends and techniques.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- A team player with a high level of dedication.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging environment.
- Basic knowledge of data analysis and market research.
