WHAT WE NEED

The Media Operations Specialist role reports to the VP, Media Operations and is responsible for supporting the short form team in day-to-day department-related business functions.

You will ensure that ads are being run on the correct stations according to the applicable schedule and will work closely with the station reps, call centers, and dub houses to ensure deadlines are consistently met.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Communicate regularly and effectively with client reps, station reps, and the short form team regarding the status of schedules and needs
  • Work effectively with the Short Form Media Team, stations, and dub houses
  • Coordinate timely movement of traffic reports and content, including monitoring status of confirmations
  • Communicate with stations with all log/traffic related issues
  • Monitor receipt of commercials and station traffic instructions to multiple recipients
  • Track missing materials and instruction with stations, clients, and/or tape houses
  • Encode, deliver, and/or program commercials on inhouse delivery platform
  • Organize and assign phone numbers for commercial ingest according to schedules
  • Match tape details and instructions to the correct media buys/station
  • Work effectively with call centers and accounting team
  • Set up new campaigns and raw data files
  • Gather, monitor, source, and reconcile raw data to appropriate stations
  • Evaluate and prioritize personal workload between internal and external demands
  • Manage regular tasks with minimal oversight
  • Troubleshoot workflow problems and/or delays; adapt and proactively repair
  • Assist with other projects/needs within the Short Form and Long Form Media departments; including cross-training with the Long Form Media Operations Specialist and providing coverage when needed

Preferred Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media, Business, or related field of study preferred, but not required
  • You have previous experience and/or understanding in direct response or performance marketing (TV and internet)
  • You are proficient and/or have intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel and database exploration
  • You are familiar with various reporting systems
