The Position:

JOB SUMMARY

  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Developers/Instructors on the Technical Training team to develop multimedia content, including videos, animations, graphics, and interactive presentations. Conceptualize and storyboard ideas for multimedia projects, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and learning objectives. Design and create compelling visual assets, such as graphics, illustrations, and animations, using industry-standard software and tools. Record, edit and enhance audio and video content to produce high-quality multimedia deliverables. Optimize multimedia content for various platforms and devices, ensuring compatibility and optimal user experience. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in multimedia design and technology and incorporate innovative ideas into projects.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Description

Design and Development

  • Create storyboards and develop interactive, creative solutions that meet training and customer goals and requirements.
  • Define and develop training software or solution, eLearning courses, photos/graphics, animations, audio/video production, 3D model production, and HTML production in support of training goals and customer requirements.
  • Code, edit, test, debug, and refine the training software or solution to produce the required product.
  • Enhance training software to meet customer requirements or improve instructional design, interactivity, and end-user experience.
  • Develop training deliverable architecture and design, including software and interface requirements.
  • Review, evaluate, and analyze design interfaces. Prepare, review, and evaluate interface documentation and specifications.
  • Conduct analysis to define requirements. Prepare user-level documentation.

Project Management

  • Evaluate project requirements and provide realistic timelines for on-time delivery.
  • Communicate status in a timely manner and identify issues affecting overall ability to complete tasks within agreed schedules.
  • Identify process improvements and enhancements to existing development processes.
  • Track training software deliveries and iterations, manage hardware/software inventory, and manage equipment, assets, and media library.

The salary or hourly wage range of $73,000 – $123,000 is just one component of Panasonic’s total package. The final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this role may be eligible for discretionary bonuses and incentives. The minimum hourly wage for this role will be the greater of the posted range, or minimum wage for the location where the employee will be working, subject to local minimum wage requirements.

What We’re Looking For:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premier, After Effects, and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of camera/video equipment, production, and editing.
  • Knowledge and/or use of a 3D computer graphics software and rendering abilities.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in eLearning principles, adult learning theory, and SCORM compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and make efficient use of given resources.
  • Ability to resolve complex problems quickly and efficiently. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Resolves a wide range of issues in imaginative as well as practical ways.
  • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Proficient in project planning to ensure timely completion of independent tasks or one or more projects.
  • Ability to develop technical approach or design, resource allocation or time schedule on projects.
  • Experience with providing identifiable technical contributions to the success of a specific training product/project.
  • Strong experience with commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within the multimedia design field.
  • Demonstrated communications expertise including concise written and verbal skills.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design or Computer Science preferred.
  • 3-6 years related experience with 3+ years of professional HTML development, audio/video production, multimedia design, and 3D model production.
  • 3+ years of experience with HTML3D Studio Max, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience with gaming or online simulation and user interface design preferred.
  • Experience in a training organization highly desired.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel to domestic or international locations as required, up to 10% of the time.
