POSITION SUMMARY

The Marketing Communications Coordinator oversees all communication with the public while upholding branding standards and compassionate Christian messaging. This position offers a variety of tasks and projects including designing giving campaigns, developing and maintaining media relations, creating social media and website content, photography and photo editing, special events, designing marketing materials, overseeing the direct mail program, and overseeing the digital marketing program to support the fundraising goals of the Development Department. This instrumental role requires creativity, flexibility, and organizational skills.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or higher

Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in marketing communications preferred. Demonstrated writing skills. Experience with working in a Development team environment preferred. Experience with non-profit organization desirable

Additional Requirements: Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent organizational skills. Ability to meet multiple deadlines. Ability to work independently as well as able to coordinate with other staff. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work on multiple projects/assignments.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop and drive strategic marketing plans that support gift revenue and mission goals
  2. Create, build, and maintain media relationships
  3. Effectively educate the public of UGM’s services, goals and accomplishments
  1. Work as a liaison between UGM and the web designer to oversee any changes or updates that need to be done to the website that cannot be done in-house.
  2. Work with direct mail firm to provide content, proof all materials and ensure project deadlines are met
  3. Manage all social media platforms and share mission stories on social media to increase engagement with target audience
  4. Serve as media contact and support media relations efforts to build awareness for the organization
  5. Contribute to design needs and/or coordinate the production of print and electronic marketing and event materials
  6. Increase and steward engagement of donors and volunteers through marketing communications efforts
  7. Serve as a liaison with a public relations firm on an as needed basis
  8. Maintain agency websites with adherence to branding standards
  9. Serve as a liaison for agency at community presentations and fairs.
  10. Create and run email marketing campaigns that correlate with direct mail and events
  11. Participate in Prayer Request Ministry by contacting assigned donors, participating in weekly prayer and follow up with a hand written card.
  12. Lead the creation and design of the North Texas Giving Day campaign.
  13. Assist with special events as needed.
