Job Summary:
The Creative Content Specialist supports the Development team by creating, editing, and managing visual and multimedia content that amplifies the organization’s fundraising, events, and communication efforts. This role is essential for producing high-quality visuals, videos, and graphic designs that showcase the organization’s mission and engage donors, sponsors, and the community.
Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:
Design, produce, and manage digital and print materials for fundraising campaigns, marketing, events, and donor engagement (e.g., direct mail, ads, invitations, flyers, presentations, promotional assets).
Capture video and manage content for use in social media, websites, and events.
Video editing is a plus but not required. We have 3rd party video editors.
Capture and edit photography for client stories, events, and marketing collateral.
Maintain and update the organization’s website, ensuring accurate and engaging content.
Oversee the organization’s digital asset library and ensure all content adheres to brand guidelines.
Collaborate with the Development team to brainstorm creative ideas for donor engagement and storytelling.
Support AD of Marketing and Comms with podcast production, including marketing and creating visuals.
Assist in supporting Development events and outside fundraisers as needed, including providing technical or creative support.
Physical and Mental Requirements and Work Environment
Work indoors in a temperature controlled environment with low to moderate noise level. Occasional outdoor work and driving may be required.
Requires use of computer and phone; stand and sit for long periods of time, and move and walk to various locations.
See, hear and speak clearly in order to give and receive information and instructions.
Complex reading, writing, and research skills; analytical/perceptive /comprehensive capabilities.
Ability to interact effectively with employees, clients, customers, media and other members of the public.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize workload, manage time, adapt to changing work demands, and meet deadlines.
Able to work overtime, work evenings and weekends.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Flexibility to support events and occasional evening/weekend work as needed
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
Proficiency in website management tools (e.g., WordPress, Squarespace).
Strong understanding of videography and photography fundamentals.
Creativity and ability to visually convey impactful stories.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Familiarity with analytics tools like Google Analytics and social media insights.
Strong understanding of branding, design theory, and the ability to visually convey impactful stories that resonate with audiences.
Ability to generate fresh, original ideas that engage audiences and align with brand goals.
Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various departments, clients, and audiences.
Education, Training and Experience
3-5 years of experience in nonprofit marketing/communications.
Experience working with diverse stakeholders and adapting content to different audiences.
Proven ability to create and edit various types of content, including written copy, graphics, and videos.
Preferred
Undergraduate degree in creative, multimedia production, or a related field.
