UX/UI Designer (Mid-Level) New World is currently seeking a proactive and passionate Mid-Level UX/UI Designer to join our Creative team. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the UX team leads as well as other New World teams on a variety of high-profile and ongoing enhancement projects. Applicants should have experience utilizing key UX/UI processes, principles, and trends as well as an ability to work fast and manage their own time. We are looking for energetic and talented candidates who have a portfolio demonstrating a sound UX mindset centered on SAAS systems. - Own medium and small-scale projects from start to finish under the guidance of fellow UX/Creative leads
- Assist in the design and facilitation of client workshops to understand and inspire our clients' vision
- Quickly sketch ideas
- In-browser prototyping
- Work closely with product owners to develop comps, user flows and/or prototypes based on project requirements and client feedback
- Work closely with developers to translate designs and interactions into code.
- Work within existing, as well as helping to build out, platform UI library and standards.
- Manage UI library and work to ensure visual and interaction consistency across multiple products.
- Gather and translate customer and business requirements into defined specifications
- Define innovative user interfaces that result in improved user experience/productivity
- Collaborate with various New World teams throughout each phase of the project cycle to drive decisions, reusability, mitigate issues and ensure that business and tech specifications are implemented
- Ability to collaborate on, work within, and enhance design systems.
- Ability to clearly communicate desired interactions with business analysts and technology stakeholders.
- Have strong interpersonal skills with internal and external stakeholders, including client management
We'd like you to have:
- A minimum of 4 years' experience in web design in a dedicated UX role
- Familiar with Lean UI/UX methodology
- A portfolio of web-based SAAS UX work that shows your thought process and ability to create satisfying/compelling experiences
- Solid understanding of key UX concepts/best practices and how it fits into the world of responsive web design
- Proven, hands on experience in Visual Studio, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, with the ability to create the entire information architecture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and experience in a client-facing role
- Basic knowledge of agile, lean and Iterative methodologies
- Basic understanding of "mobile first" methodologies
- Ability to create detailed and clickable prototypes using HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Ability to articulate your design decisions
- Excellent written and verbal communication and experience using this in a client-facing role
- Great work ethic and sense of ownership and accountability
- A detail-oriented and strategic approach to work, possessing strong time management and interpersonal skills in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
- Familiar current HTML 5 and CSS 3 standards
- Familiar with implementing designs within JS frame works such as Angular and/or Knockout JS
- Familiar with compiled CSS using LESS and SASS
