Duties Description The incumbent will report to the Art Director (Multimedia Production Program Specialist 2) within the Branding & Stakeholder Engagement Unit, and will assist in the following to further the mission of the Change Management Bureau and Public Information Office:
•Design of printed and digital materials to promote and educate internal/external stakeholders about Board programs and policies. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Reports, newsletters, publications, pamphlets, brochures, banners, posters, postcards, flyers/invitations
- Logos, icons, informational graphics
- Illustrations
- Web/social media assets
- Multimedia assets (i.e., animations)
- Outreach displays
- Signage
•PowerPoint presentation development
•Campaign development
•Video/multimedia development
•Revision of translated documents
•Preparing design files for print, coordination of print jobs
•Researching/organizing stock photography and other photo sources, photo editing
•Ensuring compliance with the NYS Branding Guidelines
•Project tracking and organization
•Serve on project teams as needed
•Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in an art or design field such as art, drawing, painting, illustration, digital design, or interactive media and two years of experience; or an associate's degree in the same fields and four years of experience.
•Adobe Creative Suite experience: Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat (Premiere and/or After Effects, a plus)
•Microsoft Office experience: Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint (Excel, a plus)
•Social media experience
•Experience working within style guides/branding guidelines
•Prepress experience - preparing design files for print and working with print vendors
•Camtasia or other video editing experience
•Photography editing experience
•Photography, a plus
•Illustration skills, a plus
•Website design experience, a plus
Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive: Bachelor's degree in an art or design field such as art, drawing, painting, illustration, digital design, or interactive media and two years of experience; or an associate's degree in the same fields and four years of experience.
