To strengthen the credit union's reputation as a knowledgeable resource and community-minded financial institution, the Marketing Assistant will support a variety of initiatives to enhance brand visibility and member engagement. The focus will be to assist in staying ahead of the competition and meet the ever-changing needs of our members, by embracing a collaborative and data driven approach to foster deep connections, drive engagement and help our members achieve their financial dreams. Essential Functions & Responsibilities: 1. Graphics Sourcing & Content Support - Find and curate high quality graphics for marketing materials, digital displays and campaigns. Assist in creating video and static social media content.2. Research - Analyze competitor strategies, promotions, and messaging to provide insights for our initiatives. Monitor internal marketing dashboards for trends and areas of interest.3. SharePoint & Digital Displays - Update and maintain certain SharePoint tiles and lobby screen displays to keep content current, fresh and engaging. Update rates and other details on our website and other marketing channels as needed.4. Community - Assist in planning and setting up our credit union presence at events, ensuring brand consistency and engagement. Assist in reviewing grant requests.5. Merchandise assistance - Assist in researching, ordering and distributing branded merchandise for events, staff, and member engagement efforts.6. Aid with strategic initiatives as required by management.7. Develop an understanding and working knowledge of the credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, policies, procedures and appropriate software systems. Perform all other job-related duties as assigned. Performance Measurements: 1.Coordination - The ability to effectively coordinate multiple components of an event, process, or project. Ensures efforts are not duplicated, materials are available, manpower is sufficient, schedules are followed, deadlines are met, time and resources are not wasted, information is communicated between parties, and goals are achieved. Able to quickly and appropriately handle unexpected problems.2.Attention to Detail - The level at which tasks are performed carefully, accurately, and in accordance with specific instructions. Consistency of work quality and compliance with standards, requirements, and expectations. The tracking of numerical data and detailed organizational information, and the careful application of grammar, spelling, and punctuation rules.3.Analytical Skills - The ability to observe, evaluate, summarize, and apply meaningful data in the problem-solving process. The level of logical reasoning necessary to connect required actions to desired outcomes. The ability to forecast events based upon current situations. Demonstrated skill in generating alternative solutions to problems.4.Written Communication - Ability to write memos, letters, agendas, e-mails, proposals, and documents that communicate ideas clearly, accurately, and with proper grammar. The level at which written documents support effective operations and reflect the Company's professional image.5.Creativity - The ability to generate new ideas, concepts, processes, actions, or solutions which are original, useful, unusual, and appropriate to the situation. The degree to which preconceived assumptions can be discarded and new possibilities imagined. Knowledge and Skills: Experience(3) One year to three years of similar or related experience. Education(3) (1) A two-year college degree, or (2) completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or (3) completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or (4) job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program. Interpersonal Skills(4) Work involves extensive personal contact with others and is of a personal or sensitive nature. Motivating, influencing, and/or training others is key at this level. Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary and often requires the ability to influence and/or sell ideas or services to others.
