Job Title: Marketing Coordinator

Location: Los Angeles, CA (Hybrid, 3 days in-office)

Podium is seeking an organized and enthusiastic Marketing Coordinator to join our Los Angeles based team. The Marketing Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and analysis of PR and marketing campaigns across various platforms. This individual will report to the Partner Marketing Manager, and will also work closely with the Director of Publicity & Partnerships to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and promote our diverse portfolio of books, ebooks, and audiobooks. 


Key Responsibilities:

  • Influencer Marketing: Support our Partner Marketing Manager in developing and executing influencer campaigns by assisting with outreach, managing contracts, coordinating content creation, and tracking performance metrics. They will help maintain relationships with content creators and stay updated on industry trends to ensure campaigns align with overall marketing strategies.
  • Distribution Partnerships: Build out quarterly marketing priority decks, which will be presented to our partners. Compile and submit title planning grids to our partners. Create applicable social media assets via Adobe Photoshop and distribute to necessary authors and agents.
  • Campaign Coordination: Assist in the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns, including digital, social media, email, and traditional advertising. Execute print galley campaigns, draft select press and marketing materials, and collaborate with the Director of Publicity and Partnerships to achieve earned media.
  • Event Support: Support promotional events, including press events and trade shows.
  • Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze campaign performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends, competitor activities, and target audience preferences to inform marketing strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing or a related role.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A mindset focused on growth and dedication to an entrepreneurial approach to the publishing industry–dare to do things differently!
  • Proficiency with Google Suite, Asana, Slack, and other project management tools
  • Familiarity with graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus.
  • Must be willing to work in the headquarter office in El Segundo a minimum of 3x days / week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday).

Compensation:

The total compensation range for this position is $60K to $65K per year.
